Elizabeth Jane Hurley (born Elizabeth Jane Hurley) is an English model, actress and model who was a former Hugh Grant girlfriend. She became famous in the early 1990s. When Hugh Grant's movie Four Weddings and a Funeral became the subject of global interest in the media, Hurley accompanied Grant to its Los Angeles premiere wearing a black Versace gown with gold safety pins. This instantly gained the attention of media. Hurley's partnership in the company of Estee Lauder, a cosmetics manufacturer, has been regarded as the pinnacle of her professional career. The first time Hurley was a model, she started her career at Estee Lauder, when she was 29 years old. Vanessa Kensington is her best well-known role in the Mike Myers spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me Both of which were huge hits. Perry's early attempts at fame in mainstream music were unsuccessful. Perry was signed to two different labels, and then dropped by both labels before any recordings had been released. Capitol Records however released Perry's EP Ur So Gay in 2007. The title song was a fun and playful song that attracted minimal notice. Perry became a bigger star several months later with the track I Kissed a Girl an assertive ode to the fascination of sexuality accompanied by a sharp electro-pop beat. It quickly sparked controversy as some critics derided it for promoting same-sex relations while others claimed that the sexually explicit scene the song depicted sparked male fantasies of sexuality in females. I Kissed A Girl's mix of titillation, polished melody and a catchy tune helped to make it a top ten song across multiple countries. The result was an album called One of the Boys (2007) selling well. Hot N Cold, Perry's energetic and sharply-tongued record with its second hit single also became a huge hit. The album which Perry composed by herself sold more than three million copies.
